Rover B FT is a processing center designed to use the "Nesting" method, which involves integrating the machine and the CAD/CAM software in order to produce pieces of different shapes and sizes from a single sheet, thus optimizing the use of materials. In factories that specialize in custom-built products, where high levels of productivity are not required, a nesting center:

• produces a number of pieces, including those of different shapes, using a single program
• does away with machine preparation times (working area set-up)
• allows even small firms to operate using Just-In-Time (JIT) methods
